    I purchased hosting from HostMonster and currently hosting two sites on it. In order to add an addon domain on HostMonster you have to create a subdomain on the primary one (aullah.com). The subdomain is omods-co-uk.aullah.com and shows up on Yahoo Site Explorer for my site, like this:

    I don't want Omods to be related to aullah.com, so I put a redirect from the subdomain to an error 404 page. I also put aullah.com/omodsco to an error 404 redirect, however that didn't work and I added it correctly on cpanel;

    Can you please tell me what the best thing to do is? Without misusing redirects as this will hurt SEO score.

    aullah.com/omodsco is redirecting to http://www.aullah.com/404.shtml/ is that what you really meant? Surely you meant http://www.aullah.com/404.shtml (without the extra '/'). Anyway, either would result in a 404 I'm guessing.

    Anyway, I'm not really sure what you're trying to accomplish can you list what urls should point to what docroot dirs?

    ie.
    aullah.com -> /path/to/docroot/aullah.com
    omods-co-uk.aullah.com -> /path/to/docroot/osmods-co-uk
    aullah.com/osmods-co-uk -> /path/to/docroot/aullah.com/404.shtml

    etc...
