Hi, So I have a site which used to rank pretty high in Google for its rankings. However, it got screwed over when someone decided to send an SEO attack towards the site. I tried disavowing the links, however, Google penalized me for that too. (I had disavow multiple links before that instance also). Anyways, I am wondering if it would be a bad idea to use a permanent redirect towards another domain while performing SEO and building up that new domain from scratch.
If is totally gone and penalized I wouldn't redirect it, unless you are still getting visitors from it.
If the domain is ruined, then buy a new domain with PR and redirect the website. Invest a few bucks and grab a nice solid domain with established backlinks. It makes it so much easier to rank when you have some trust established. Send me a PM and I can take a look under the hood.
