Redirecting URLS and pagerank

    Why wouldnt you just put a link straight to the other page? Why the extra step?

    First, the redirecting page must have a 301. With this, you should be able to pass PR and rankings. But as Google has been a little strange lately, I would not tell you it will allways. However, lately I managed to get Google understand the 301.
