redirecting to a sub domain

    What is the best way to redirect a site that google has heavily indexed to a subdomain of the same site?

    so if google index www.happy.com and i want to move the content to hello.happy.com, is there a good way to do this?

    hmm.. Create the sub domain in Cpanel then add a .htaccess redirect to direct www.happy.com to very.happy.com then I think google bot will update the links.

    Better to get some more advice. I'm not entirely sure myself

    I do not actually want to redirect to the original domain. I was hoping the bot would somehow update the old articles with the new subdomain
