If an e-commerce website wants to geo-target its visitors so availability of products by location , Can it be possible?
Some classified sites do that. If you go to http://www.classifiedads.com/ for instance it will take you to where your IP is. At least it does here in the US. It's all IP based. It can be a lot of work to implement it on your site, but it is possible.
Thanks for the Clue.. So your point is, without specifying the location, just with the help of user IP, Google algorithm be able to recognize requirement of the user and display the location specific results..
Well, I don't think that may be black hat because what you are trying to do is localising with the user. Still does this sounds black hat !!
I don't think a business that wants to represent certain areas would get penalized, would they? For instance, we serve customers in several places around the world. Therefore, we do our best to reach people based on location when we can.
