Redirecting from landing page to Affiliate link

Can I use a meta redirect to my affiliate link with AdWords? Will it track, will it count as a click, convert and will Google come to my house and kill me if they ever found out? What are the rules on redirects?

Against the rules and you will be caught if your not very careful.

Google will see that you are getting 1 click per impression. It needs to be more like 1 click per 20 - 50 impressions. You don't want to send up any red flags.

My recommendation is to bury the redirect page somewhere in your site that only receives about %10 of your traffic. This way your impression count stays up. Also you will probably have to mess around with the code a bunch so that Google thinks users are clicking ads from everywhere on your site and not just the one page.

And you have another problem too in that none of the traffic you are getting paid for is converting. If Google expects 1 / 50 clicks to become a sale, and you send them 5,000 clicks with no sale, this could send some red flags.

This is all just theory though. I have no experience with what you are trying to do, so you might want to check out some black hat forums for help also.

I think you are misunderstanding his question. He is asking if he can use a meta refresh to redirect to his affiliate link that he is advertising on AdWords, not redirecting people to his AdSense link. The ad impressions are based on how many times the AdWords ad is displayed in Search Results, it has nothing to do with his website at all. When someone clicks the ad, a click will show with Google, regardless of what page he is sending the traffic too.

I would say that the majority of successful search engine marketers are using some sort of a redirect at some point during their link process.

OP, If you have any more questions about this feel free to respond or PM me.

I would probably rather just make the redirect somewhere on a link on your page that the adword links to. The customer will probably be more likely to buy if they have more information about the product, most of the affiliate links for cpa networks seem to lack a whole lot of information.
This is just my opinion I don't have very many sales under my belt, just the way I see it.
