    Hi ,

I have two websites that I am trying to rank for the same keyword . Is it a good idea to redirect (301) a domain to the main website ?

Will this help in serps ?
May this hurt my websites ?
Anyone experienced this , results ?

Thanks a lot and please share your thoughts about this .

You won't benefit really. They essential act as one site at that point. If site1 is redirected to site2 and site1 has some PR it will be direected to site2, tho.

Yes it has some PR (3) and main website PR5 , links to first website have in anchor same keywords as links to the main website .

Value of this links will be transferred to the main website ?

We had a .co.uk and a .com domain that servered exactly the same content. I set up 301 redirects and (althought it took a few weeks) it helped out rankings out in the long term.

My domains have different conetnt but the second one has very little content . This is a very important step for me as I can loose a lot if something goes wrong .

Anyone else have experienced this ?
