    That should work. Google is seems to be playing with redirects, I can not pin it down, but they seem to be trying to differentiate between 301 and 302 redirects in some instances. But normal behavior for all engines is for a 301 to be followed and indexed as the target. 301 redirects would be the proper usage for a permanent situation.

    Here is some info on why 302 redirects are bad.
