Hi I own www.ps3center.net and it use to be called ps3forumz.com. I didnt want to lose all my members etc , so I decided to redirect www.ps3forumz.com to www.ps3center.net. However, when I did that, I redirected it to www.ps3center.net/index.php and not to www.ps3center.net only. Now on google my page displayed for "ps3" is : www.ps3center.net/index.php. It had a PR 4 with that. Now I just decided to change that to : www.ps3center.net/ and I lost my PR. It`s 0 now. Will google adjust itself and give me back my PR4 and fix my listing on google ? Or will I have to keep on using the /index.php extension ?
Hi popiul99, I experienced the same problem with my own pr4 site. When I changed domain I decided to redirect my old domain to the new one. The new domain has its own outside links so originally I thought any way G will give it due PR credit. However, the result is the same as yours. Now I think G thinks this redirection is like some spamming or what. Just stopped the redirection and have to wait if things becomes better in next few months.
its just that with : www.ps3center.net/index.php I still have PR4 BUT with : www.ps3center.net/ I have PR0
Redirect www.ps3center.net/index.php to www.ps3center.net/ and you will be fine. You should always do this on your sites anyway.
