    Hiya.

I have a site: mywebsite.com/press/ all the wordpress files are in press folder. I want to keep that there but change the URL so it's mywebsite.com without /press/

How can i do that? and what will happen to my posts? mywebsite.com/press/this-is-a-random-post will they still the same or transform to mywebsite.com/this-is-a-random-post

    Thanks!

if you want as you have mentioned, you have to put 301 redirect in each pages

all most 95% value will be pass to new page.

I really don't know where you got this '95% value' info, but from what I know redirects don't keep rankings or PR automatically.
You get into a 'review period' by Google and only after they've checked what ever parameters they check to determine these things, they might give you your old PR and rankings.
Also, this sounds like a lot of redirecting. Your server is going to suffer from this too, which means site's performance will go down.

You need to know that before redirecting so many pages on your site.
