Redirect URI with .htaccess

    I've looked all over and I can only find how to redirect directories that actually exist, not URIs. I need code that will redirect from one URI to another URI.

    Can you give an example, then we would be able to workout what rewrite rules you'd need. rewrite rules work on directorys and files, you just need to put in the file names as well,
