I plan to open an ebay store and since i can not find a way to put my store onto a website... was thinking just have the domain redirect right to my store... would this hurt me with search engines in anyway if Im not even indexed yet?

If u redirect it to your store in search engine also it will be redirected only so no use actually... You could link it to the store instead

If you are not indexed yet, don't get this complicated for yourself. Live with the ebay store and forget the domain :)

Redirect will not do harm unless you want the site to comeup in rankings

A Redirected site may not rank higher in SE results.

If you just redirect you probably won't get any good Search Engine Results. What you could do is use an iframe of the store on the domain and then try to link build, you may be able to get some results from that.

If you use your domain to redirect to ebay store.
You will not appear at all in the google search results [speaking from personal experience].
And you can't use the re-direct in adwords too.

So a redirect is useless unless you already have an existing website/whatever and basically plan to only cloak your aff url.

there is 3 type of redirect, 301, 302 and meta, I dont think all of them will ruin your PageRank...

Wow GREAT replies... ya I plan to market my store around town some and I dont wanna to market stores.ebay.com/STORE... Rather have store.com than redirect OR i was thinking make sort of a "about me" page with a link to my store.... what do you think would be better a kinda "hub" were i have "about my store" and link to it... or just a normal redirect? (Which would you rather see if you seen a store in ad's around town and went to visit it?)

Ya i WISH i could find a way to put my ebay store into my site but i talked to bans (people that do that kinda thing) they (and ebay) said there is no script to implement a specific store and live auctions from someone... there is the ebay to go but its kinda crappy for what i need.

    Thanks

In the rankings it will hurt you very much because, your confusing the search engines with the wrong keywords.

If you redirect it, all the link juices you ever made will also be redirected to ebay.. so, you better link to it.
