    Hi

I contracted a webdesign / seo company that does not seem to know what they are doing.

They changed my site from htm to php and placed a slow redirect. Visitors have to see the old html page (stuffed with keywords) until the new page loads. This lasts from1 to 5 seconds.

After 8 months they still say I need to wait for google to index the new pages before this redirect can be removed.

Any advice please (apart from changing my seo company)

    Any suggestions please

are they using an html redirect or a header("Location: urladdress")

Also, why didn't they use a 301 redirect?

First of all you should change that SEO Company and then It should be proper 301 Redirect and then google will properly index the new pages. So this is the Solution.
