Redirect pages bad for SEO?

    I came across this website of the Top 13 SEO Mistakes. Redirect pages are listed as one of the 13 SEO mistakes.

    If so, why are redirect pages bad for SEO?

    They are likely talking about a) blackhat SEO/sneaky redirects used to cloak or b) improperly implemented redirects that don't pass link juice/page rank and don't pass credit for inbound links (i.e. using 302 redirects or meta redirects when you should be using 301 redirects).
