Redirect Help

Okay, I want to know how can I redirect any visitor that comes to my site to the forum automatically since that is all the site is. I should have just placed the Forum in the main directory, but it's too late now and I have no wish to redo it. So how do I redirect my site using htaccess from / to /forum/ (my site is at http://www.legallyhighforum.astahost.com/), I'm trying this script right now:
Redirect /index.php http://www.legallyhighforum.astahost.com/forum/index.php
but it only redirects the index.php specifically to the forum/index.php, I need a full directory redirect script, so / will go to /forum/

 

This line should do the work:

redirect 301 / http://www.legallyhighforum.astahost.com/forum/

although I'm not sure if it will do as it seems that your site is a sub-domain.

ok. if you have /cpanel, log in, click on redirects, simply complete the form and hit OK..

just noticed its a sub :| you'll have to get the host to do this... if all else fails just create a HUGE button to send traffic where you want them. I love how users are easily manipulated

 

haha if I can't get the redirect to work I think I will move the Forum to the main folder.

yup, there's also a lot of cool gizmoes in cpanel that can save you a lot of time, like the search bar
