I just noticed that the page rank of our website located at www.jvfconsulting.com/index.php has a Page Rank of 3 while www.jvfconsulting.com has a PageRank of 4. Should I setup a redirect in my .htaccess file to redirect traffic from /index.php to jvfconsulting.com?
Yes, you should have only one index page. Options +FollowSymLinks RewriteCond %{THE_REQUEST} ^.*\/index\.php RewriteRule ^(.*)index\.php$ http://www.domain.com [R=301,L]
Thanks so much for the help cheapez! I'm going to apply that fix now. I tried to implement this with my ecommerce website which is powered by Magento, and it made it so my menus and navigation stopped working. Is there a work around for Magento users?
