Redid My Site and Now Can't Remove Old Dead Links Out of Google

Hi. I did my site all over again and since its an eCommerce website, I had to use new items as the old ones have been outdated. The problem is, at the Webmasters Tools, I have more than 200 Not Found links which can be a trouble when I'm planning to do SEO. My question is, how do I remove all of these 200 dead links from Google?

You don't - let Google figure it out - and make a nice 404 page to catch the traffic.

So what you mean is that I just ignore all of the dead links and start working on the new ones?

Thats what he means. Google will eventually sort it out and deindex the dead links.

Actually, you can delete these links or a whole directory at one time in the Google webmaster tools. I did this a few weeks ago to remove unwanted links from the index. It only took 24 hours.

Make sure they are now all 404 and you Disallow indexing these URLs in the Robots.txt file, then Google will remove them.
