    Hello,

I posted the URL of my forum in the thread below and got an infraction for it. Not even a warning! User offering free posting service - so why can't I list the site I wish him to post at? My reply was:

    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?p=10019532

I believe that this is a little.. WAY "over-the-top" moderation.

The rules for the Buy/Sell/Trade forums are in place to make it more fair for the people creating the threads and to limit the number of unnecessary posts that bump member threads.

You are welcome to promote your forum in the Solicitations & Announcements forum, but please do not self-promote in BST, even if it is in the Freebies section. If you are replying to a thread asking for your details, send it by PM.

You are welcome to review the rules as they relate to bumping:

    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/announcement.php?f=24
    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=934065

And please don't create "rediculous" threads to complain about infractions, because they tend to lead to more (infractions).

In your mind, just say "That was a stupid infraction" then move on. Ive done it to myself in the past, don't let it bother you. If you feel you are misjudged you can PM a moderator to talk over or just let it slide.
