Redesigning my main page

    As i'm sure it's clear from my website, www.heartheissues.com, i'm not web design expert ;)

    however, i do have what i would consider a successful website, at least in terms of traffic and income...what i'm trying to do now is change the front page, which i know desperately needs redesigning. I'm open to any specific ideas, whether it me fonts, spacing, tables, content, etc.

    I would
    1. Move logo to the left (and produce a crisper version)
    2. Add a sitemap to the top
    3. Change left menu colours to something easier to see (catogirize better too)
    4. Use CSS to bring in colour backgrounds (see yahoo.com for a good example)
    5. Add a footer (inc. copyright)
    6. Use a couple of Photos - not just images
    7. Smaller main article links
    8. Smaller main article descriptions (easier to read headings)
    9. Leave the font as is.
    10. Make horizontal rules much lighter in shade.

    IMO ;)

    I'd say maybe work on a new logo. The quality looks very poor.
