Hi, this is as follow up to http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=278470 Some of the responses made me reconsider the redesign and so I wanted to come up with something more different from the current design and posted a screenshot at http://www.citypics.org/citypics.jpg It is far from complete but I really would like to hear other opinions, so please let me know what you think about this new design, respectively also about the previous redesign compared to the current design.
You could add a sort of box arround the image , to make it look more interesting. The footer looks a bit to simple , I think you can add something there to fill that space. Also there is a big space arround the image , you could add something there , maybe a short description of your site.
What do you mean like box? There is a black border, but I suppose you mean something else. Any suggestion in particular? As I mentioned its not complete yet, so the two items on the right will become links and the copyright messages will be a bit longer. Did you refer to something else in general? Do you have any comment about the general redesign?
You may use a semi transparent panorama of an old city as a background, even simple red brick wall background would be better than empty places.
Yeah, I already played with the idea of a background image, however I always encounter the same problem - tiling. More opinions really appreciated.
I just uploaded a live version at http://www.citypics.org/index_test.php with some small modifications. Please share your comments.
hi looks good visually clean and easy navigate. The location still seams to be missing off quite a few of the images.
really simple and nice design. agree with j1n that was easy to navigate. Overall are GOOD WORK. Good luck to you. -Azfar
I'm not a huge fan of the pink, the color scheme would look nicer as: - black background color - pink replaced w/ lighter grey - red as 3rd color in the scheme
I cannot comment on the new functionality as I did not see the old one. The site seems functional to me. I was able to find what I wanted to see
same as above - difficult to comment without seeing the old version, I think you just need to get all the locations filled in now.
