Redemption period

    Hi

There is a domain that I really want to register. I checked it and I found that it is in the redemption period. So is there anyway to know when it will available for registration. Is there any tool or something to find that out?

    Thanks

I believe it can take about 70-75 days after the domain has expired before you can register it, depending on the ccTLD. When you see the status of "Pending Delete" it will be available to anyone after waiting 5 days, so on the 6th day you can register it.

I would add another week because speculators may grab a domain for tasting or resell it to its original owner prior releasing if things don't work as expected

Let's try to clear the air here, shall we?

If it's a CNOBI domain name and the line "status" says redemption period, it's 30
    days. Period.

If the status says pending delete, it's 5 days. Period.

Any other status, check with the registrar.
