I seem to have been hit with this bug as well. I haven't posted in months (since late April) came back to check on something and noticed I was red. I was most definitely green last time I was here.

Oh well, no biggie.

Nothing is showing in my CP so I don't think anyone red repped me.

After the update a few members lost the messages given in the re. and nothing was shown in USERCP although they got red rep.

Only shawn or MODS can answer u.

 

He must have been hit by the last rep update, Cost for Red rep thing.

 

That is why people are suggested not to talk much about reputation.

Me too, I used to be green untill now. I'm not one to talk about reputations, but I'd think it's tougher to sell or buy things here with a red rep.
As far as I know all my reds are for the cost of giving one (which will probably change now...). To think I've only red repped very spammy threads and scammers/spammers who really deserved it .

 

You are not alone. I believe more than a few of us got double dinged for red repping scammers and spammers.

That would be fine if that was the case but it's not (assuming I know all the facts, as I said I have been gone for several months). I was active when the initial cost of rep came into being and when it first came on lots of people got dinged really hard, Fryman got to something like 5 reds. Shawn then made it so that you didn't go any lower than 0. Now if this change was rolled back and we are in fact paying for reds that happened before the cost of reds went into effect than you can disregard this post.

I hadn't logged in during that time period and by the time I got here I was at zero, I never had much green as I am not a frequent poster. After the change went into place I didn't give more than one or two reds and never enough to put me in the red. I then went on and did different things with my life and came back here and noticed I was red and had -14 points which is when I posted in this thread after doing a bit of searching to see if I could figure out why i was red.

As I stated earlier, I don't really care all that much. I don't post here very often so it doesn't really effect me. I posted just to clarify what happened.

 

Maybe we should have been giving greens, not reds, to spammers and scammers.

 

It looks like Shawn did roll it back because he had to to get something else fixed.
