Red Hat - Stuffing keywords into <image> alt attributes - Using <image> alt attributes that don't describe the image at all - Titles outside the range of 7-30 words - The same title on numerous pages - Hiding content and keywords in invisible <div>`s
Yeah.... Red hat SEO is what the company Red Hat does SEO for their site!!! Haha... I couldnt help it... There is nothing like red hat...
There is no such thing as Red Hat Seo, there is just Black Hat and White Hat. Red hat, blue hat, etc... are just names which have been made up. Probably for linkbait to their self-proclaimed techniques & articles or something.
Hat colors came out of the old TV and movie westerns. The bad guy wore a black hat, the good guy wore a white hat. The guy with the red hat was never shown because he was a target that got taken out in the first volley of shots [smile] Ok, I bet if you search for various color hats, you will find people out there trying to monetize their sites by trying to make you believe they can make you money by using their techniques... I like the list from sunnymakkar, but you forgot using white text on white background, or 1 point text, or the panel of keywords you still see on some sites. Many of these no longer work because search engines are looking for relevant phrases that are in context, not just isolated words like in "the old days" of search engines. So with the absolutes of black and white hats, why don't we have gray hat techniques? Mostly because things are pretty much ok, or they really aren't.
Hey I am going to start a new company tommorrow offering yellow hat seo. Doing yellow hat seo pis**s the competetiton off when you outrank them. Then again it may ned up being brown at seo because it is a load of sh*t.
