What a fucking disaster. All of the pledges by good people to charities like these and there is at least £3.3 billion ($6.5) sat in bank accounts of the Red Cross.

What the ****??? They must be hiring British builders to do the job. :p

It is a disgrace and is one of the reasons I never donate to charity. Just think of the interest on $6.5 billion a year for nearly 2 years. It's nothing short of scandalous.

What did you just say? I have absolutely no idea what you meant.

Don't let the beurocracy and self-indulgence of certain large charities deter you from giving at all, certain charities do serve a good purpose as long as donations are gotten through voluntary cooperative action coughwelfarecough.

Some of the money is being used to help Islamic vigilante forces impose punishments on women.

Actually, lots of scumbags saw the tsunami as an opportunity to raise money for themselfs. Giving money directly to homeless people isn't allways good either, since they will most likely buy drugs for them(never heard of a homeless that wasn't a hardcore drug addict or a foreigner). The best way is rather to give them your half-eaten burger to some poor and hungry homeless. That way, you can be sure that the money you give away for charity is well used.
