Red and Green Reputation???

Ok I look in my User CP and I see a "repuation" list. I have one green from Rob and one red from someone who just put a "?" in. What exactly is this whole rep points thing?

why was this moved here? I was asking what the whole rep system was for. I wasnt making a comment or a suggestion.

Why am I lucky? Just cause Im a noob to this board doesnt mean Im a noob to the biz, you didnt have to be rude. You really shouldnt throw the whole noob word around so much. I actually liked this board and was curious about the rep system and what would cause there to be for red ones. If this response is any indication as to how all inquires are handled around here then I feel like maybe its not as warm and welcoming of a place as I first thought.
