He's probably one of the best contenders for his base, but I have doubts he'll be supported by the big wigs. Grassroots most likely...because he's 'too conservative'.

He almost sounds Lou Dobbsy. Not necessarily good, but then again not all trade agreement are good.

From what I'm seeing, most conservatives could deal with him on this issue....though they doubt he'll win the primaries.
I sort of belief him when he says he's fiscally conservative. He's one of the few that tries to block certain military spending when he thinks it's unnecessary. We need someone whom won't wholesale agree to spending (on anything), without a bit of prudence. Even defense has to have a bit more constraint in spending.

I actually think if he gets enough press, he'll have a descent chance in the primaries. But as always, I think republican we'll aim to practicality in getting a governor. maybe....*shrug*

    Qualified in security.... yes.

His son was deployed in 2003....he's a First Lieutenant in the Marine.

I never thought I'd be potentially voting for someone named after a video game :)

But as with any politician, there are some good choices and a lot of bad ones.

For example, he supports a line item veto but voted yes on making the patriot act permanent and voted yes on the anti-flag burning law.
