i recently had some information removed from a site which i didnt want on it by contacing that site's webmaster. He deleted it off the webpage but if you type that info in on google search it still shows in the search index. But if you click the link you cannot see that information however it is still on the cached copy and it can be seen on the original search result page still. How do i get that information to be completely taken off the google index fot good.Must i wait until the site is crawled and the index recashed?
Yeah. You just answered your own question. You just need to have the patience and wait for your site to get crawled and recached.
I agree. You just have to be patient. If it was crucial, you could add a few links pointing to that website in hopes that it would get crawled again faster. You most likely don't want to help the offending website though. Luckily I don't think any regular internet users ever check the cached version of a page. You just have to wait for that page's listing to update.
Wait for recrawl, or either ask that webmaster to go into his webmaster tools and remove the page from the index.
is it possible for a crawl or a recrawl to take over or around a month because its beent hat long but the information still shows up in the index even though it is removed from the site itself?
