recprical pages what google thinks of them now

does google still give any value to recripcal pages. Meaning if i have a partners section with links from other related pages does google still give you any value for it. or are recrical links with google dead

 

it still is counted as a backlink, but doesnt carry as much value as a deep natural or 1 way link

 

do you think a website would be better off without recprical pages?

 

I say do it for the traffic, not to boost your Google ranking.

 

I still do link exchanges and I've not see anything to suggest that this is a bad thing. As stated, do link exchanges with good and releated sites and you should not have a problem.

I think the biggest problem is if you are link exchanging with every man and his dog rather than releated sites.

 

Personally I would spike up that link page with a few links that aren't necessarily reciprocal just yet. Still, reciprocals within a niche - or between related niches - should not be a problem. Don't link to spammy sites though - even within your niche.

 

google tends to supplemental linkspages

probably because when people trade links they tend to use the same descriptions over and over again

 

Link pages may not be as helpful as before in terms of SERP. However, having one will certainly not harm the site.
