Recover the dropped database

    Hi ,

    I have done the blunder today by deleting(dropping) my important database without any backup.Is there any option to undo this fool act ?

    Please help , it will take a lot of time to made it from scratch again .

    I will be thankful.

    hi.
    you better ask your hosting provider for a backup. some of them keep backups of their customers accounts but otherwise there isnt something you can do!

    Its tough to recover once deleted unless u have a backup, are u on windows then use windows recovery tools available search google

    I have done this ONCE. and my brain exploded. if you did it localhost and deleted it, you are screwed without a backup. Only thing you can do is run your script and add fields/tables as necessary via error messages and remember what each was set too. It is how I recovered.

    then create a script to auto create the entire table/tables again. Just update the code as you create new fields and tables. THEN make a backup of your database.

    I feel your pain. I just backed up my database now as I remembered what I felt like.

    I lost 3000 members once, now I have a php script/cron taking daily backups
