Recover/Reboot XP Laptop

My sister just got an divorce and she has a laptop her husband left for her to have but its passworded. Its running operating system XP.

What can be done to reboot the system so she will be able to use it?

You mean admin account is with password?

it won't reset the password but instead reveal it, as long as you know what you are doing it's a safe tool sometimes in rare cases data do get lost so use it at your own risk

 

There is a software that recently bumped in. It is shareware. (atlantisminds)

 

You can go in safemode i think its F8, run cmd type in net user USERNAME *
that will allow you to set a new password.
if that doesn't work PM me, and I will point you in the right direction.

 

or if you have nothing important in it, just format and reinstall the Windows and all programs.
