Hi there I'm looking for some software that can capture video users send on my website. I intend to run a dancing competition and i need to be able to record users webcams of this so I can stream the video at a later date to enable everyone to vote on the competition. I know that people can easily record their own webcams but I want to record them remotely. I have tried a few remote recording programs but I have tried a few remote recording programs but have not had much success with them. Any help would be appreciated Woc
Keep an eye on this thread: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1234561 You could (hopefully) grab the files out of your cache - try something like Firefox Cache View addon. Or maybe if you get really desperate, you could just use a screen capture application like CamStudio.org - I'm not sure if it would capture the audio though.... Why don't you just get your users to submit videos directly to you. Or ask them to upload them to YouTube or Vimeo?
Just a lot easier, some of my users can bearly use email never mind send me a video file lol ! As for uploading to youtube again some of my users wouldnt be able to do it. Was trying to think of an easier way to do it, seem it might not be so easy after all. I posted again as it seems my last post wasnt v clear and i got some wrong advice. Woc
