What you describe happens to me ALL the time, now for two years straight. There are stellar sales for months in a row...and then all of a sudden a week or two with ZERO sales which are statistically not to explain. Just get used to it. Dont depend on CB and especially not ADWORDS and clickbank! The best thing you can do is rank some sites high and get organic traffic for free. That being said, even with those "odd" outages once in a while i make good money with CB overall. Sometimes sales patterns dont follow any logic.
Good comments...also I think part of the challenge with selling info products is that people can get so much stuff for free. You have to stand out and be creative - give them more. Maybe offer hard copy version or other physical bonuses also.
I think it is pretty normal. Sometimes the sales are up and on other days they are down. You just gotta keep focus and continue to drive targeted traffic.
you should get adapted to CB rather than just complaining about it. CVb does this to some publishers INTENTIONALLY and spares the large publishers. i dont have faith on CB amymore, but it is also not possible to find an EQUIVALENT marketplace like cb. so just bear the torture and stop complaining every now and then...
You guys are failing to see the meaning of statistics. If you are making 1-2 sales per day and "suddenly" it drops to 0, it doesn't mean anything, it's not statistically significant. If you were making 10 sales/day and it fell down to zero, however, THAT would mean something.
This has been brought up before and some people claim it makes a huge difference. Something you can try - when sales tank for a couple days, try registering a new CB account and re-directing your traffic there instead. A few people have said that the refund thing does make a huge difference and when they move traffic to a new account the sales pick up again. It might work. It might not. But it's probably worth a try.
I'd Gort is in either the Reverse Phone or people Search niche.. those $22.62 comm payments look pretty familiar.. Its cyclic.. I hope more people get despondant like Gort and give it away.. Remember.. fortunes are made in recessions! You just gotta be smart and niche selection is vital.
Works for me every time, 5 days straight with no sales, switched back to an old account yesterday and already made 3 sales and $160 in less than 24 hours. People don't believe me, but it definitely works for me. JZ
Would the theory of switching accounts only apply if you're having zeros? My sales are down horribly, but I usually get at least one each day. Did have one zero day in the last four days. I had an unusual amount of refunds over a four-day period. Hadn't had any in almost a month and then had four inside of four days. If my account had been flagged somehow for this, would you expect the sales to completely stop or could they still trickle in even though the account has been flagged? I hope I'm making sense.
I believe if your account is flagged, they simply increase the rejection of credit cards to reduce the risk of refunds/chargebacks. Check if the sales you have had are paypal ones, this is my experience. It could all just be in my head, but I am more and more convinced that it is not.
I don't think anyone can give you an accurate answer. Best bet is to try out a new account for a day or two and see what happens.
Yeah something isn't right about CB. Last year I made over $3000 the last half of the year and this year? $97 and only 1 sale in the last 6 weeks. I've heard very similar things on other forums. Time to open a new account. For those who opened a new account, did you use your same personal information?
Wait for all the doubters to come on board and say it is just a coincidence! Glad it worked for you too. JZ
Thanks Yesterday was 1 sale. Today at 3am another sale posted. So that's 2 so far on the new account.
