Hello, I represent a beauty product called Eye Magic, a non-surgical eye lift positioned as the ideal alternative to eyelid surgery. Our web site is www.eyemagic.net if you want more information. I am looking into setting up an affiliate program for this product. I've been looking at ShareASale for this, which I've heard is a good program to start with. I wanted to see what you all recommend for a good place to start. We don't have a very big budget, so we can't afford a large setup fee or high monthly fee. Thanks for your help! Dave
Where are you located? Some affiliate networks are better than others in particular regions. Have you considered setting up your own, independent program?
Located in Los Angeles, but we ship worldwide. I haven't looked into setting up an independent program, but sounds like it could be good...how can that be done?
google search will turn up a ton of scripts to setup your own affiliate program - i hope you have cash to invest, and someone willing to spend a lot of time in front of the computer screen watching for fraudulent leads.
I'd rather sign up for one that's already set up and has legit affiliates...any advice on good ones for beauty products?
There are plenty of free scripts out there for setting up an independent program. It's certainly true that you'll need someone (in-house or otherwise) to manage the program for you, but you'll have exactly the same problem when signing up with an affiliate network - most of them provide a poor standard of management unless you're willing to pay a significant amount of money.
Hi Dave, You already picked the best solution IMHO. I would go with Shareasale over any other network with a product like yours and definitely before starting your own in-house affiliate program. There are really a lot of benefits to going with SAS and you'll thank me in the long run. I think I made a post here recently that outlined all the benefits of going with a network vs an indy program. I'll see if I can find it.
