Recommended advertising and affiliates.

Hi there,

I have been promising myself to try and make some money.
If I had some recommendations it might help me to pull the thumb out of you know where.

I was wondering if you will be putting up a top ten list of ways to advertise any website and use affiliates.

I have looked at quite a few affiliates but all the double talk and sales bunk is driving me to distraction.

If somebody with experience recommended just one or two of each type of advertising and affiliates it would be a good starting point for newbies like me.
The emphasis would be that somebody has else all ready been driven to distraction
Show me the money!

 

I suggest:

1. Create a list/newsletter on your niche. Get potential contacts.
2. Send solo ads by promoting aff. products that suite your niche.

Solo ads are very powerful and they give sales back!

Try to offer something you know....

 

Do you have checked with cj.com? I hope you will find good affiliate program through them.

 

I guess one can look at making money from affiliate programs in a couple of different ways.

1) With a products only site.
A good example would be an Amazon bookstore, using an AWS script. This type of site would simply focus on selling product and making commissions.

2) Content site
This is a more subtle way of generating affiliate income. An example would be a review site where you'd provide your feedback/opinions of a product and provide an affiliate link for it or related products.
