I have a joke site is getting 100+ visitors a day, will continue to increase as I move into the top 5 for my main keyword. I am trying to think of ways to monetize the site through CPALead, PPI programs, etc., but am not sure which program would work best with this type of site. Do any of the affiliate marketing experts out there has any suggestions? Any help would be greatly appreciated...
Honestly, I think CPALead demoralizes anything I would do. I just don't feel right asking viewers of my website to fill out a survey just to get the content on my site. That's one of the luxuries of the Internet, all the information and resources on it are generally free. Anyhow, I would try using Adsense. Have you experimented with any in text ads or regular ads?
I don't mind using CPALead, but I am just trying to figure out the best way to use it, or if it is the best option. I am currently using Adsense, but am making very little from it. I think it might be because the ads are trying to be relevant to the content, which will be whatever joke they are reading, and therefore may be displaying ads that don't interest the visitor. In posting this thread, I thought maybe someone would suggest an option that I am not familiar with that would work well with my site.
If I went to a site with jokes, I would be interested to buy a book of jokes on a certain topic. Eg Clean jokes or jokes for kids or maybe even jokes on the "rivalry" of two countries. Not sure if that helps.
Good idea smile633 - I have added some joke books, so we will see what happens. Any other suggestions? Any CPA or PPI programs that anyone recommends?
I can't recommend any new monetizing strategies that aren't already well known, but if you could somehow entice a well known comic to make a regular presence on your site, any monetizing scheme would increase your earnings since the mere presence of the comic would phenomenally increase your traffic!
