recommendations for backing up wordpress site

Hi.

Does anyone have any recommendations for plugins when it comes to backing a wordpress site. I have tried backup buddy from ithemes (disaster) that's all I can say. They have been terrible, in there customer service and the plugin.

Any recommendations would be welcome.

I'm using the "BackUpWordPress" plugin by Human Made Limited. It's been working well for me and does everything I need it to. I've never used a different one though, so I don't really have anything to compare it to.

 

I'm using WP-DBManager. It's a free plugin but seems pretty robust and so far I haven't had any problems. Oh, it only backs up the database though. To back up my files, I just FTP them from my host

 

Use the inbuilt functionality
Dashboard>Tools>Export

 

I'm looking for something along the lines of backup buddy backup, migrate and restore.

 

im using default wordpress export for export content.
and manually export databse, download sites and upload import to new database.
to clone blog, its make it faster too. if you use wpmu its easily.

 

I've seen a few using this plugin - do you mind sharing what exactly was the issue? Just curious, because I don't want to be recommending them to others if the plugin has issues.
