Recommendations for a mail client on my flash card

I'll be doing some travelling soon and will be able to use internet cafes.

I'm assuming that in Malaysia and Thailand they'll be pretty up to date and USB capable.

Rather than remember a stack of pop3 settings or webmail locations I'd like to be able to have a really basic pop3 email client on a flashcard that I can plug in and read emails. I'd leave the email on the server but be able to read and reply.

Does anyone know of a program that can work like this?

    thanks

    Sarah

Well, I have no idea about a program which can run like this.
Ususaly pop3 clients need their files to be registered with OS.

You can alternatively use http://www.mail2web.com , It can read mails using POP3. so you dont even have to carry and plug your flashcard in to the computer.

Edit: Just found this XML based program. I think its exactly what you are looking for - http://www.softpedia.com/progDownload/Vallen-POP-Mail-Checker-Download-15291.html

    just to confirm,

Vallen POP3 can work the way, you wanted.
just install it on your computer, configure it and then copy the directory in the flash card. I just checked it on three different computers and it worked.

Just wanted all those passwords and access points in the one place...

just tried on a different pop3 account and it worked just fine. Nasty on html emails so I don't think it's what I need - however it did work.

I was round at a friends and she pulled out a stack of PC magazines - which I gave up reading years ago ;) anyway, there was a great article on portable apps - just what I needed. The site they quoted was http://portableapps.com/apps and they link to a portable version of thunderbird!
