    Hi,

I am new to this forum, so hello all!
I would like to know if there is a way to create a portfolio CMS to piggy back onto a goodlooking html/css website. I have a photographer client who wants to add private galleries for clients in a password protected area.

Being a web designer by default (I started in print and now do a lot of web - self taught but getting there) I am only moderately experienced in insalling cms sites, but I get asked all the time and normally I just use something like an open source shopping cart to build it, but figured that there must be something out there that is portfolio specific...
    any suggestions?

Go for Joomla. Its the best. You can have a lot of extensions for it and you dont need to waste money on custom development as well.
