    Hi Gang,

I have been looking at Dummy Software's RSS-Submit v1.1 and the tools suite http://www.dummysoftware.com. We only have one business focused blog. We do not have any plans for a second. We are not a search engine marketing company.

I have been emailing back and forth with the the company trying to figure out what version I should get & why. The professional version looks fine to me & seems to have more than enough of what we would need.

There is an SEO version which is more scratch$$$$, and has the capability to do more, but I am not sure we really need it. While the whole suite of tools is short money period, we are a small company and since I am new to the RSS and Blogging thing, I thought I would see if anyone out there in the land of bloggers had an opinion or some experience with this tool.

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Best,

    DJKay

    Hi,

Thanks for your reply. I have had this one recommended to me, I am certainly willing to look at other options. Our blog is on Typepad, so we are already have some help with promotion through their service.

Because I new to blogs, I am not familiar with the rss landscape, like I am say with search. Since this is a strategy to build traffic and links back to our site, I want to purchase a tool that I can use everytime we post that would cover the top 55, the blog engines, and the other places one would submit to.

I am fairly technical for a marketing person, and certainly can use a piece of software or something to perform the submission task, since I have had much experience with hand directory submission campaigns in search. I cannot afford a service that does it for us.

I have gathered that this is not like search in that you could be potentially penalized for using a submission tool, let me know if I am wrong.

So any information or advise would be appreciated. Thanks,

    DJKay

It would defintely be RSS Submit. I believe they were also the first product available for promoting feeds. I use their product with the seo expansion pack and the rsstop55 plug-in. I also downloaded their product Blog Blaster. Highly recommended. http://www.dummysoftware.com/rsssubmit.html
