Hey Guys, Was just wondering what you guys think about new blogs and commenting. Do you think commenting should be disabled at first since there's very limited traffic? Just so the posts don't look bare? Or should I just allow people to comment and just wait until it eventually happens? Or would it be a good idea to try promoting people to check out my blog and comment with a link back to their site? Or maybe that would be a newbie-like thing to do
No, what happens when you are about to come upon your first commenter? But there is no place to comment? I personally don't find "no comment posts" bare either. Just let comments on, write good stuff, promote your site and comments will naturally come.
just let the site goes up.. with or without comments, but please keep the comments on. The most important is your posting quality and the visitor traffic (not comments number).
Well, if your site is new, to promote your site and increase comment count, switch on your comments and if possible, integrate dofollow or commentluv for easy promotion, though this may increase spam.
Dear friend, Best method is to post great articles and good content of value in your niche and am sure as soon as your traffic increases, you will start receiving comments. I don't find any reason you want more comments, its all traffic and everything else comes free with it - money, comments, discussions and fame! cheers Josh
Don't disable the comments, as someone else mentioned you don't want that first potential commenter to end up leaving because they can't find how to comment and never coming back. Try actually asking questions of readers in your posts, get opinions on whatever you're writing about.
