Recommend: Script to use on a Travel Portal

Hi All

I am looking for recommendations for scripts/application to use on a travel portal I am planning to create.

I am keen on the solution supporting Tags like Flickr etc. does. This is additon to the usual stuff on a portal like SEO friendly features, blogs, add comments, photo gallery etc.

I like some of the features on here - http://www.cruisingindia.com - but this is more of a custom code job and looks expensive.

I am open to paid for and open source solutions so please give me your recommendations as I want to take a look at the options available.

If you prefer PHP, there's Joomla! and Drupal. They're both open-source.

For ASP-based portals however, I can't really recommend a solution as I've also been searching for one. There's iPortalX but it's not open-source.

 

I am also looking for a nice travel Portal Script.. ! anyone, ANy suggestion !

I am not sure what do you mean by travel portal. If you looking for hotel , tours booking take a look at iScripts ReserveLogic . It is multiple locations, multiple property booking software.

 

I used Joomla for travel website earlier or I recommend to use WordPress, I know It required some customization but it will be grate for future.
