Hello guys I want to say that I am a marketer and publisher and for a long time I have been looking for a good website builder, something (template driven, something like what blogger does) that allows me to select a template, edit the title tags, meta tags and add the content and publish, I use Dreamweaver and other html programs but I want to focus on building websites fast and on my marketing, I have tried using Wordpress but it takes a very long time to find a good theme, edit it to place ads, add widgets etc etc, I just want a simple solution to build sites fast, add adsense and affiliat elinks and post my content. Can anyone recommend me with a good program that can do this for me? Thanks
Not really, like I said I need to focus in adding content and marketing my sites wordpress sites are a pain in the ass, I mean finding good themes (most of them have backlinks to spam sites), doing the theme hacks to add advertisements, installing plugins and doing the site seo..... I mean there is got to be a better solution out there, anyone else??
I highly recommend you xSitePro2. This new edition has a lot more functionalities than the previous one.
There are many, each with strengths and weaknesses. The term is CMS or Content Management System. Here is a link to a Wiki with some well-known ones; I use Joomla and WordPress depending on need: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_content_management_systems Louis
I use Joomla for most of my sites. It is very versatile and has hundreds of free addons and some that you can pay for if you require them. It is also very easy to use or hack to your liking.
It sound as if you don't want to do any work... WordPress is about as easy as it gets! I have yet to run into spammy backlinks but I sure it happens.
I am trying to learn how to build sites myself, I am not good at it. I just bought a site myself instead of building it from scratch.
Joomla is a good bet to start with, nice and simple to use, with an extensive support system should you get lost.
If you are using a Mac, I recommend that you try RapidWeaver. It's very easy to use, and the templates looks really good.
What about the brand new software from Matt Callen called BlinkWeb, it seems to be very interesting for marketers. http://www.blinkweb.com/
