Recommend me a Website Builder

Can someone please recommend me a decent yet easy to use website builder with hosting. It would be nice to ‘try’ before buying. I would be happy to pay around £9 ($15) a month.

    Things I want:

The templates must allow ‘drop down’ (sub) pages.
Domain inner pages reading like www.mysite.com/contact.html
    Unlimited pages
    SEO friendly
    Add my own html widget

    Things I don’t want:

    Flash design.
Domain inner pages reading like www.mysite.com/contact/#/123456

    Looking forward to your replies!

You might want to try godaddy.com, they have a website builder called Website Tonight. You can also include hosting which would fit into your budget.

If you're looking for an easy website builder, i'd recommend Joomla! I've found it to be very easy to use.

I'd recommend Joomla or Wordpress which are both open source frameworks.

You'll get hosting with these as available installs for your budget.

I've never taken a class and have managed to make several sites with wordpress. It really is pretty simple once you get the hang of it. I've made both in my signature on my own and several others. There are SOOO many different ways you can configure a wordpress site to suit any needs. I haven't played around with Joomla but a lot of people like it too.
http://www.Dreamhost.com will install it for you with a few simple clicks. (Be sure to install it in advanced mode if you would like to add themes.)They also allow you to have as many domains as you want. I have about 8-10 sites right now hosted on 1 account. If you would like to use my coupon code BARBARAS, you will get a free domain name registration with your hosting account. :)

If you need help installing or uploading themes or anything just pm me. I enjoy doing it. I could probably figure it out on a different host if need be.

I build 90% of my websites using Joomla or Wordpress. Dreamhost is pretty good (although not so much lately) and its $8/mo. and you can have unlimited domains. They also have one-click installs for both Joomla and Wordpress. Hope that helps.

Hmm. If wordpress is to complicated, you may want to either take a class or read, read, read tutorials and info on html & web design before you attempt making a site. Here's a good beginner site. http://www.htmlgoodies.com/primers/html/article.php/3478131

It's possible that you are making wordpress more difficult than it actually is. To have a simple wordpress site, you don't need to know any code that I am aware of. It's the plugins you have to get used to basically.

Trust me! If I can do wordpress, you can do wordpress.

Joomla and Wordpress are great, and definitely in the long run they are going to be better than a site builder software. I will recommend you www.1and1.com for building website out of the hosting company.
