Looking for a shopping cart that comes with a basic template for the site. All I want it to do is to be able to sell through Paypal or Google Checkout then allow the buyer to download the product after the sale. Ohh ya SEO friendly titles and URLs would be great. Any suggestions?
I have used CFWebstore and Cartweaver both with ColdFusion. Cartweaver is also available for .ASP and .PHP. I found that was easier to implement. Their application is wonderfully documented.
Me too, their dynamic descriptions and titles works great for SEO, however they have one problem. If someone (search engines included) goes to a product that doesn't exist, or used to exist, they get a blank page, not a 404 or a 301 to a page with value. I just posted a fix to this for the asp version on my blog, works great. http://www.jlh-design.com/2006/08/ecommercetemplates-and-proper-301.html Their support system is great also.
I need help with OsCommerce it is so hard to customize the shoppingcart, I wanna make a template sale site and implement the shopping cart into my own layout but it is VERY difficult.
I am about to purchase an Ecommerce template. My Question is which type should I opt for asp or php? I have access to both NT and Unix hosting. I have heard that the search engines will have trouble caching some php pages. Has anyone used Ecommerse templates before? and how are they from a seo point of view.
you can also try them out for free at opensourcecms.com From memory, zencart had a pretty good rating
