recommend autoresponder -auto newsletter/e-course mailer on my server

Can someone point me in the direction of any scripts available for handling a mailing list? I want to start with a 7 or 10 day email course mailed out daily automatically. Some sort of tracking would be nice and a db driven script would be best. I'm on apache and I prefer php or perl, in that order.

Depends on what you truly want. If you want, you can go with phpmailing list but if you want something that would give you lots of tracking and comfort, I'd recommend Aweber or GetResponse or EmailAces. Somethings are just better with great reliability. ;)

I'd go with Aweber, it's what I use and has always done great for me.

I'd go with a hosted solution, if your volume gets too big, you can get a dedicated server from them too. I recommend getresponse and Aweber. Aweber has more function but getresponse is easier to use.

That's the problem, I am brand new to this and there is no volume to speak of. I understand Aweber is the <slang>shiznit</slang> and when I am proficient and have a list I will definitly move to their services. But, before I pay 20/mo I need to make sure I'm not just making Aweber richer.

I not having any luck finding that script but phpfreaks have quite a few other listings for mailing list managers. Thanks

Any additional ideas on handling a e-course that is mailed on a daily basis until all course files are sent, ex: a 7 day course mailed 1 part each day for 7 days.

You should read this entire thread for your answer! but I just can't resist:
One can not take a corner at over 100mph until you crash a few times... so don't try it in a corvette until you have the experience to make it!
