Hey guys, generally speaking, how does one know how many images is best to use in a blog with any given amount of words please? I am writing a 2300 word blog and have 3 images kinda evenly spread out so not to have too much text between any two of the 3 images. I figure it might be a turn off for a reader to have too much text to read in between images?
Rough estimate is one image for every H2 header. I'd also see what the competition ranking 1st-3rd has. If they have 3 at most, I'd add a 4th. People underestimate the importance of using images and highly unlikely they'll go back and add additional images or for new competition to even look.
The best bid is 1 image for 400 words, so I would also recommend up to two more images. Keep the last three small, and remember to use alt text.
I would say an image for every screen - so wherever the user scrolls he will see text alongside an image.
Scannable content is also important for better SERPs, though yeah, the one-image-per-400 words pace is sort of the golden ratio
Images are now an essential part of SEO. After every heading tag, it should be an image with an alt tag because sometimes only images are ranked in Google Images rank pages. Images should be infographics so users attract these images and get a basic idea of the content, so they will willing to read the entire content.
