Has anyone got any good recommendations for one of the online mailing list services? I've heard of Vertical Response due to the amount of spam i get with their name onit but that's about the only one and I don't know how it compares to others. looking for good price and reliable. Only looking to send out around 5000 per month to my own customers just now.

Yes - the one I have used is called Aweber.

    aweber.com

Its really good, quite cheap and their customer service is brilliant.

Probably not that one, since it is included in all and every cPanel out there...

Thanks - that gives me some ideas. Constant Contact does seem to ring a bell. I think my sister'n'law might use it for her publicity and PR stuff.

I will second Aweber, it is fantastic and the customer service (especially live chat) is second to none!

It's an easy (and free) task with PHP though...

Another vote for Aweber. Not only can I highly recommend it, but I'm subscribed to a lot of top marketers lists, and the vast majority of them also use Aweber for their newsletters.

Aweber is looking promising. I need it to be easy to use by my wife and cheap and this seems to fit the bill. If however I were to go down the PHP route is it PHPList that you'd recommend? Thanks

PHPList? I don't know to be honest...
When I need a task, I'll do it in PHP. It's quite easy, free and powerfull...
For a newsletter, you could get the emails, put them in a MySL, once a month send the email/newsletter retrieving emails from database and send it to all with one click...
    My 2 cents though..

Aweber, GetResponse and Email Aces are the big three in the same order.

Look for reputation, reliability, delivery rate, support and then the price.

    Best,

    Hello,

I use Exact Target for e-mail distribution, but they might not offer everything you are looking for.

I have also used NCR's hosted PostMaster product and can't say enough good things about their service and support.

Anyway, the good news is you have many options to evaluate now! :)

I am selling one. Users can subscribe/unsubscribe from your website. You can add hundreds of emails to your list at once through the admin panel. You can send emails in text or HTML format and it archives the emails and makes HTML pages for them with SEO friendly URLs. You can make those pages available to the public or just to you. I am giving a discount to DP members in this thread http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=262081.

Another vote for Aweber here. Anyone who has been in IM for a while will almost certainly know what Aweber is.

I use GetResponse.com. They're just like Aweber only cheaper, and their customer service is very good.
