    Hey folks.

I'm considering putting a blog on one of my sites as a sort of bolt-on content system.
I'm wondering what you guys think is the best way to approach comments, in terms of being easy to maintain and SEO friendly.

I have read that Google likes a fair amount of healthy discussion, but I know Wordpress is a spam magnet.

Is there a reliable (WP) system of keeping robots out of your comment area?
(ie captchya things or whatever its called.)

Also, is something like "CommentLuv" a good idea to encourage constructive comments?

Basically, I would ieally like a low maintenance comment system that discourages spam, and encourages high quality comments.

Thanks for any advice on this subject.

I use the default WP comments system (which is still the best option according to many SEO's) and really don't have any problem with spam so far. I've been using it for over a year now and receive about 3000 visitors per day. There are also many plugin options to further project your comments section and let visitors judge the value of comments (a like/dislike system)

I personally wouldn't recomment CommentLuv because of SEO.]

    Good luck!

You can use Facebook commenting system. It's easier to use and requires no maintenance. The comments also get indexed by Google.
