Hi, just seeking some advice from joomla users, there are so many tutorial sites out there, but I am looking for a manual type thing which covers joomls basics for the complete begginer. If anyone can reccomed a good site/tutorials they used that would be great,
    thanks

Set up a dev server and play around with it. I learn from hands on, and this, in my experience is the best way.

This can be done very easily. Grab a standalone server and play around.

Really I think just pouring over the FAQ's is your best bet.
