Hi, With Google changing the rules so often, does anyone know if one-way links are better than reciprocal links? I know some people do 3-way link exchanges but I'm sure Google has a handle on all these different link methods. I'd like to work toward getting higher pageranks and just want to find out what methods seem to work best these days. Thanks, Andrew
I believe that linking out of your website, is like drilling a small hole in your cup of page rank, so one way links are best. Unless you are linking to the actual page that is linking to you, rather then linking to, for example, the directory's home page.
One way links are very best. All the people are providing the 3 way links from their affiliate sites. SO they don't have any problem, by doing this they will promote their main site.
Spend your time trying to get related one way links. Then if someone asks for a reciprocal you can decide if you like and trust the other site enough to trade. If you do your homework before asking for the link you'll probably be willing to trade a recip. I've had good success moving up to #1 in the serps this way.
One way links are always the best to preserve your page rank anyway, but I would certainly suggest with Google's new policies that you keep it to one way links.
Thanks Guys I was also confused..... but one more thing i have ask... if someone giving backlink to our site from good PR page in case of 3 way link exchanging so.... So, It is also not beneficial.....???? Plz let me know about it.
When people say that Google doesn't "like" 3-way links, don't take it as a LAW, more as a suggestion. If google sees a bunch of 3-ways, it will hurt. But if you get a single 3-way from a good site, that's different. We're just saying don't focus on reciprocals and 3-ways.
Hey the one way links are the best. However, even 3 way linking or networked linking do not hurt. Google sees them as one way linking as you are not giving direct backlinks from which you have taken links. But please remember not to use this pattern again and again as Google would detect it later or sooner.
Always try to get only one way links. In my opinion , it has a lot more impact than reciprocal links.
If you are working on your page rank then you should be working on getting those non-reciprocal links.
